Longer in duration than our half day walk, our ¾ day option ensures you have more time to explore the unique terrain and impressive ice formations of the first ice-fall. Moving at a relaxed pace, with plenty of photo opportunities, you'll be surprised by your own feeling of achievement, as you explore glacier terrain normally only seen by experienced mountaineers.

After being fitted out with all your equipment at our company office, a ten minute bus ride takes you to within 2.5 kilometer (1.5 miles) of the glacier, where you enjoy a short bush walk through regenerating rainforest, regrouping in the glacier valley.

You then proceed to the front of the glacier (2.5 kilometer), with your guide calling stops along the way to explain the unique features of the glacier and glacier valley. Here you strap on a set of Ice-Talonz, accessing the terminal face of the glacier for 3.5 - 4 hours exploring the unique terrain and impressive ice formations of the lower ice-fall. You will have time to enjoy lunch on the glacier, whilst surrounded by towering walls of ice.
