Location : Hidden away in the beautiful Riwaka Valley, sheltered between the wilderness of Kahurangi National Park and the marble of Takaka Hill, the Resurgence South Island is only a 15 minutes drive from the Abel Tasman National Park, Motueka and 50 minutes drive from Nelson Airport.

Each room has a spacious open plan design, polished timber floors and earthy colours along with private balconies from where you can enjoy great views over the Kahurangi Wilderness, while experiencing all the luxuries and comforts of your room.

Restaurant : While staying at this lodge, enjoy a 4-course French-Mediterranean inspired menu that is prepared using fresh local produce from the bountiful Tasman district. Plan your next day's activities over cocktails that also feature Nelson wines at sunset.

Location / Directions

50 min drive to the Airport (Nelson)

Directions from Nelson Airport: follow SH6 towards Richmond/Takaka/Collingwood. Keep straight-ahead bypassing Richmond town centre and turn right on SH60, the Appleby Highway, towards Motueka/Takaka/Collingwood. Pass through Motueka and then the small township of Riwaka and onwards past the two turnings on the right going to Abel Tasman National Park (Kaiteriteri & Marahau). After a further 2km, at the foot of the Takaka Hill, take the small turning on the left down Riwaka Valley Road (sign-posted with a blue bed LODGE sign and a brown sign to Riwaka Resurgence & Kahurangi National Park). Follow this road straight-ahead (north branch) for 5.7kms until you see the sign for the lodge on the right (just after a deer farm and then the road narrows sign).
Please note that our property is not suitable for toddlers or children under 18. Babies are welcome in our Bush Suites. Cot available on request (free of charge).

We request that you try to arrive between 4 - 6 pm to allow time for us to check you in and show you round before dinner service starts at 7pm.
