Taumarunui Whare O Nga Manuhiri

The house has all mod cons - freeview, microwave, fridge, freezer, wall oven and cooktop stove, heaters, w/m, drier, iron, stereo etc...The house is in a quiet area, 15 minutes walk (2 minutes drive) to the main shopping area - banks, supermarket, movie theatre etc...The house has rural views and it is 5 minutes walk to the golf course.

There is off street parking for up to 3 cars, and good roadside parking (there is a parking bay outside the house).



The garden is fully fenced, suitable for children, and features a traditional Maori rongoa (herbal medicine) and kai (food) garden. Pets are welcome .

Jenny and Joe are your hosts, and live 4 doors away. They are local people, and available to show you through the garden, advise you on local attractions (including the free 'wild' glow-worms at Kakahi)...and even assist you in preparing your ground-cooked hangi kai - the hangi pit, rocks, firewood and baskets are all on site (This does cost a bit extra).

Location / Directions

15 minutes walk from the bus and train station on the main street.
Ask for directions to Lairdvale Rd at the Information Centre at the bus and train station, or phone Jenny and she may be able to come and collect you.
