The Lab Queenstown is a friendly and personal Hostel located in the optimal Queenstown location (up no steep hills!). We are in the town center, only 100 meters from bars, restaurants, cafes, supermarket and shops whilst being located on one of the quieter streets.

On arrival at The Lab our staff will make it our highest priority to ensure your holiday meets and exceeds expectations. Our young friendly team is dedicated to making sure you have the maximum Queenstown experience. We are traveller's ourselves and spend our time between Queenstown and Japan where we have another hostel, The Lab Hakuba.

The rooms and facilities at The Lab will ensure your great experience. We have double rooms and dorms and all of our dorms have only four or six beds. We have female only dorms and are always open to special requests.

Facilities at The Lab include: large sundeck, BBQ area, TV room, coin-operated laundry facilities, tour desk, wireless internet, PC stations (coming soon!), transfer services, social nights such as BBQ night and a free bar crawl (starting in Winter!)

Getting to The Lab Queenstown from Queenstown Airport

We are located on a quiet street, near the main road of Shotover Street. If you are traveling by Intercity/Newmans coaches, the hostel is only two streets away from their bus stop along Athol Street. From there, you walk along Shotover Street toward Stanley Street where you can see a Four Stars Supermarket. The next street will be Stanley Street, then the road sign you will see is Gorge Road - The Lab Queenstown is easy to locate from here, as you just need to turn right from Shotover Street and you can see that the hostel is not far into Henry Street. Our Hostel is well lit so it won't be a problem if you arrive at night.
