Join us for a 4WD mystery tour around beautiful Waiheke Island. Perfect as a fun team building exercise for social or corporate team building. Clever cryptic clues guide you around 45 kilometres of beautiful island for two hours. The winning team even earns a bottle of bubbly!

Description

Our mystery trail is a competition between teams and is based upon observation from the vehicle. It is run in our Vitara soft and hard top, 4-seater vehicles (subject to availability). Expect approximately two hours of drive time covering approximately 45 kilometres of the scenic western end of Waiheke Island.

We operate with a minimum of 2 vehicles and each can accommodate between 2 and 4 people. The mystery trail experience runs best when teams are made up of 3 ? 4 persons per vehicle.

The standard functions within each 4-person team are: a driver, team leader (who reads the instructions and writes the answers), map reader and clue spotter.

Upon return, the answers are marked and the team finishing within time and with the highest points is eligible for the prize.

The trail starts and finishes from our depot at Matiatia (150m from the ferry arrival wharf).

Upon arrival at our depot, the drivers of each team sign standard vehicle rental agreement forms, then the group is briefed and maps and instructions are issued. The teams are then sent on their way.

This experience is 2.5 hours in duration and is available weekdays: Monday to Friday.

Session Details

We run the trail at a time to suit, with commencement times from 8.30am to 3 pm, Monday to Friday. All bookings are subject to availability. Please allow at least 2.5 hours for the experience.

Experience Participants

This experience is for up to eight people in two vehicles. We operate with a minium of 2 people per vehicle and a minimum of two vehicles on the day. The experience is best with 4 people per vehicle. We can accommodate up to 100 people in a mixture of vehicles.

Participant Guidelines

Drivers must be over 21 years of age and have their current drivers licence with them on the day. There is an insurance damage excess on each vehicle (drivers aged 21?25 years - $1500, over 25 years - $1000). A bond is required by a reversible credit card authorisation.

Participant Dress Code

Casual and comfortable.

Upon arrival, the drivers of each team sign standard vehicle rental agreement forms, then you will be briefed and all maps and instructions are issued. You should consider the make up of the teams, as the trail works best with evenly balanced teams representing a cross section of the group.
