Description

Over the two days you will travel from Tauranga via the picturesque pohutukawa-lined peninsula coast, through Katikati mural town, Thames, Whitianga and Whangamata.

You will spend the night in the historic Coromandel township, choosing your accommodation from the many motels, B&Bs and backpackers. You will also visit the world-famous Driving Creek Railway (entry fees apply).

Other spots visited - time, tide, and weather permitting - include Cathedral Cove, Hot Water Beach, a beautiful waterfall and grove of kauri trees set in typical native bush, and the Waihi goldmine excavation Visitor Centre.

And to add to the hassle-free travelling, we will drop you off at your home again the next day!

Session Details

We operate all year round on the condition that minimum numbers are met. Accommodation can be scarce at peak times so we recommend you book well in advance. You will be picked up at 8.30am and returned at approximately 5.30pm the following day, however the return time is flexible.

Experience Participants

The price quoted is for one person. We require a minimum of two people to operate and will take no more than eight on a tour.

Participant Guidelines

The Coromandel Peninsula tour is suitable for almost anyone, as we can tailor the itinerary to suit your needs. A camera to record the beauty of the area is a must!

Participant Dress Code

Bring clothes for one night away. We recommend you bring casual, comfortable clothing, a hat, sunscreen, swimsuit and towels. Walking shoes are needed to get to Cathedral Cove. You might also wish to bring smart casual wear if you plan on dining at one of Coromandel's excellent restaurants.

Other Information

You must be able to pay for your own accommodation and meals as they are not included in the price.
