On the Discover the Bay eco-cruise you will:

Visit the scene of the first major bloody encounter between very early European visitors and the indigenous Maori people and
view our video ?Culture in Conflict?, which recreates the tale of the bloody revenge and massacre between the Maori Chief Te Kuri and the French Captain Marion Du Fresne.

Then during your time ashore, imagine yourself back in time in one of New Zealand?s defining periods whilst viewing the remains of the Maori Pa site.

This four hour cruise departs daily from Paihia at 9am and 1.30pm and from Russell at 9.10am and 1.40pm.
