Description

Upon boarding the yacht, your skipper and crew will introduce themselves and take you through a safety briefing prior to departure. During your 1.5 hour cruise you will be sailing on our specially-built 50ft yacht - Lotus 1500 model.

We then leave the berth and cruise to more sheltered waters in the Viaduct where you'll enjoy your lunch. Watch as the sights of Auckland sail by you and listen to some informative commentary.

Your picnic lunch might include a gourmet sandwich, a scrumptious cookie for dessert and tea and coffee. We are also fully licensed so have a wide range of beverages that you can purchase for a additional cost (cash only).

After lunch you are free to sit back, relax and enjoy the view or participate in sailing the yacht! Take the helm, trim the sails and with the help of your informative crew you might be well on your way to a career in nautical navigating!

Your lunch cruise includes entry to the NZ National Maritime Museum.

Session Details

Cruises depart daily at 1pm. Bookings are essential and are subject to availability. Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to departure and allow 1.5 hours for the lunch cruise itself.

Experience Participants

The price quoted is for one person. We have four yachts and can accommodate up to 18 people on each.

Participant Guidelines

No prior sailing experience is necessary - should you wish to participate in sailing the yacht our instructors will show you all the ropes and provide thorough instruction. Bring extra money as we have a cash bar on board (no EFTPOS facilities), and remember your camera!

Participant Dress Code

Wear warm comfortable clothing, flat soled shoes, sunglasses and a hat. You might want to bring an extra jersey with you. We provide sunscreen on board, and windproof and waterproof jackets to keep you warm and dry.

Other Information

We require you to complete an awareness form explaining any medical conditions and a confirmation of parental supervision of any children. You will be charged the full amount if you cancel and provide less than 24 hours notice from the time of departure.
