Experience a more close-up and personal journey of Doubtful Sound on this Small Boat Cruise. With opportunities to get nearer to tour highlights without the restriction of a larger sized vessel, you will thoroughly enjoy the natural beauty of one of New Zealand's most acclaimed regions.
The excursion begins with a cruise across beautiful Lake Manapouri and a coach trip over Wilmot Pass to Deep Cove where passengers board the Breaksea Girl. The soaring peaks, towering cliffs, and dense rainforest which make Doubtful Sound one of the most spectacular areas in Fiordland, can then be enjoyed during a 4.5 hour leisurely cruise of the inner fiord; including Crooked Arm, Hall Arm and Elizabeth Island.
The personalised, flexible itinerary will enable wildlife viewing opportunities and the chance for you to get up close to the waterfalls. A special highlight of the cruise will be the opportunity to truly experience the “Sound of Silence” when the engines of the Breaksea Girl are turned off and the fiord becomes enveloped in tranquillity. Lunch is available on board and you will have plenty of time to chat with the crew who will be happy to share their in depth knowledge of the history, geology and wildlife.
