This tour can be done in groups or individually.

GUIDELINES

Infants under 2 years free of charge (using existing bedding and not occupying a seat).

Children 12 years and under, who share a room with two adults travel at 50% of the adult twin share rate.

For one adult and one child the adult pays the twin share rate and the child pays 80% of that price.

DRESSCODE / WHAT TO BRING

You will receive a detailed itinerary, explaining your schedule. After starting the tour you are taken to your accommodation each night and picked up from there every morning.

Important information about the glacier walk:
A moderate level of fitness and agility is required. In Franz the first part of the walk is along loose gravel on the river valley floor, and over rocks. In Fox clients must walk up approximately 500 steps through a rainforest track for about 40 minutes. Once you are on the glacier you are walking on rolling waves of ice, it is not flat walking . You should be able to walk at a steady pace for about 4 hours. Access to the ice varies as the glacier changes and alternative routes may sometimes be used.

The tours are not escorted group tours - they are for independent travellers. What this means is that it is not the same group of people travelling on their own coach with a tour leader/escort looking after you. You are travelling independently.
You travel on scheduled coach/train services. These depart every day.You are picked up from and dropped off at your accommodation each morning and evening. No meals are included in the tour price however stops are made throughout the day where food can be purchased.

If after your booking has been confirmed you wish to cancel, the following cancellation fee's will apply:
* For cancellation up to 7 days prior to travel - loss of deposit
* For cancellations 7 days - 48 hours prior to travel 50% of total fare.
* For cancellations within 48 hours prior to travel 100% of total fare.
All tours may be extended or amended, provided that these arrangements are made more than 15 days prior to departure. Amendments will icur a fee of NZ$50 per change of file. Amendments within 15 days of travel will also incur additional fees in accordance with the policies of the suppliers.

If travelling alone on an Independent Tour, you must pay the single room - per person costs advertised.

HOW LONG IS MY GIFT VOUCHER VALID FOR?

All gift vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase.

CAN I EXTEND THE VALIDITY OF MY GIFT VOUCHER?

Extension options are available upto an additional 3 months from the date of purchase.

If your voucher has not yet expired, we can extend your voucher for an administration fee of $10.00 per month / per voucher (upto three months).

If your voucher has already expired and you contact us within 30 days of its expiry, we can extend it for an administration fee of $30.00 per month / per voucher (one month only).

If your voucher has already expired and you contact us more than 30 days after the expiry of your voucher, the voucher cannot be extended.
