Rafting is truly the best way to see the Waiau Gorge Canyon and surrounding countryside. To top it off put yourself in control of a four-wheel quad bike and crash onto river crossings, mud, dust, and dirt tracks.
As you're rafting Marvel at the twist rock, water holes, pink marble rock and fault line features. In clear water you may see salmon and trout swimming by as you float past then get ready to get wet as the white water rapids hit.
To dry off enjoy a ride around Hanmer Springs on a maunual or auto quad bike. Both experiences have awesome scenery, great fun, spectacular views and are a truly exhilarating Hanmer Springs adventure.
