Pottery Introductory Lesson - Half Day (EBP043) : Gift Voucher

Pottery Introductory Lesson - Half Day - Arts & CraftsWhy not try your hand at mastering the art of pottery? This half day course will see you learn the basics and make your own ceramics. Relax and experience the deep satisfaction of making your own creations. Develop your own creativity and watch your designs come alive!

Description

On this course, you will make your own personalised mug and have a short try on a potter's wheel. The course has two options - one in the morning and the other in the afternoon, beginning at either 9am or 1.30pm respectively.

The first hour involves preparing the clay and observing a demonstration of a technique and procedure used to make a very satisfactory hand built mug.

Th next two hours are spent practising the technique and building your own mugs with our guidance. During the half day lesson, you can take the opportunity to sit at the potter's wheel (for up to half an hour) and have a go at throwing a pot! It is fun but lots of hard work. We will give you a demonstration first!

Near the end of the session you will select your most successful mugs, name them, and place them on the shelves to dry. We will glaze, fire and send them to you ready for use.

Please note: an additional charge to cover freight and packaging will apply depending on the weight and destination.
