If you've ever wanted to get up close and personal with our closest living relatives in the animal kingdom, then this is an experience that you and a friend will never forget. Meet and feed some of our smaller primates in this 90 minute, once in a lifetime experience!

Description

Are you ready for an adventure that's out of this world and beyond your wildest imagination! Meet the spider monkeys, Madagascan ring-tailed lemurs, the cotton-top tamarins, and the siamang gibbons.

On this 90 minute tour, you and a friend will even be given the opportunity to feed the primates by hand. Get ready for your exclusive animal adventure!

Your primate animal experience itinerary:

* Meet your tour group leader and be given a briefing and safety talk
* Sign the Health & Safety induction form
* Make your way through zoo taking in sights and sounds on your way to the Lemurs, whilst the tour guide provides an informative talk about a range of topics
* Visit the lemurs enclosure and be given a brief on the behavioural expectations, followed by entering the lemur enclosure for an amazing up close experience
* At the conclusion of this you will make your way to the ZB rainforest exhibit
? Taking in the rainforest boardwalk you will see the spider monkeys, bonnet macaques, cotton top tamarins and siamang gibbon
? Meet the Spider Monkeys at the back of their exhibit and their quirky characters
* You are then free to explore the rest of the zoo at your leisure

Session Details

The 90 minute tour runs every Tuesday and Thursday. We recommend that you book at least 21 days in advance of your preferred date. Morning tours start at 9.30am and finish at 11.00am.

Experience Participants

We operate with a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 6 people per tour.

Participant Guidelines

Don't forget your camera! The minimum age requirement is 8 years old. An adult must accompany any children under the age of 15. Due to the possibility of unforeseeable animal health or staffing issues, we cannot guarantee that all animals and exhibits will be available.

Participant Dress Code

Please ensure that you are wearing appropriate clothing and footwear. Please bring shower-proof, warm clothing and appropriate footwear such as sneakers or boots.

Other Information

Your guide will be with you at all times during the tour. Our staff take all practical steps to reduce the risks in their activities to acceptable levels and make the group aware of the level of risk in each activity. However, all activities require a shared responsibility.
