Description

We collect you from your Auckland, central city, location and have a short talk about the type of wines you are most interested in so we can select wineries to best suit your tastes.

Most wineries in the North West Auckland region grow grapes in NZ?s premium wine regions, Gisborne, Hawkes Bay, Martinborough, Marlborough & Otago.
You can expect to find our world famous fresh, zingy Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Chardonnay and sometimes Pinot Gris and Gewurtztraminer with reds including Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and sometimes Pinotage, Malbec and Grenache.

We then set of in our small luxury coach to visit a selection of wineries in the North West Auckland region for you to sample their wines.

Your guide is the most experienced wine tour guide in the Auckland area and will go into as much, or as little, detail as you like about the different wine styles available and wine making techniques used in NZ.

During the morning tour we visit two wineries and take a look at what?s happening at Takapu Reserve, the spectacular gannet colony located on the cliffs overlooking Muriwai Beach, the afternoon tour visits three wineries. A great chance to stock up on your favourite wines, or discover something new, at genuine cellar door prices.

At the end of the tour we return you to your Auckland city accommodation.

Morning tour departs 9.45-10am returns approximately 1-1.30pm, afternoon tour departs 1.45pm returns approx 5pm. Tours run daily throughout the year except Christmas/Boxing/New Year/Easter Sunday/Anzac Day. Please notify us of your preferred session time - Morning or Afternoon.

Experience Participants

We do not require minimum numbers on this tour, usual maximum is 7 so we can offer personal service and help with tasting advice, larger groups by special arrangement.

Please respect winery hospitality, we do not operate as a Party Bus. The tour will be personalised on the day depending on availability and group preferences. We often select from the following wineries - Babich, St Jerome, Nobilo, Coopers Creek, Matua Valley, West Brook and Soljans.
